Our Story

In February 2009, the idea for commonground developed out of a need to engage and encourage women from all generations in a movement greater than ourselves.  As the idea for CG began to percolate within us, it became clear that our focus of engaging multiple generations was too short-sighted.  We needed to expand our focs and include women from all denominations.  The lives women lead today ar more diverse than ever before.  We believe this diversity can be harnessed to do amazing things for God.

Why does CG exist?  To take God’s love for the lost world from the pews to the pavement. It’s that simple.
Walking in step with God and in unity and love for one another can be a powerful force that will leave His fingerprints on changes lives outside of our church walls.

How do we bring women of such diversity together?   By getting back to the basics.  We leave our denominational differences at the door and only become conscious that we are women who love God.   That becomes our commonground.

The Event

commonground is held at Connection Church in Canton, Michigan. The evening starts with a time of dynamic worship.  After our hearts are focused on God, we’ll move into the afterparty area to enjoy appetizers, CG coffee bar, prize giveaways and conversation.   This environment will allow you to network, develop contacts with other women who may or may not have the same dreams as you.   We believe that through commonground events,  lives will be changed.   Not only those attending but those who will be affected by the unity and love that is harnessed for God.

commonground is for women ages 13-115 and all denominations are welcome.
